This three week training program is aimed at providing a place for young athletes to work hard and shape up for an upcoming season. Our coaches will keep your athlete on track providing structured, disciplined workouts as well as a chance to discuss valuable insight into running, strength, nutrition, race strategy, and more. This program will culminate at the end with a race opportunity to put the hard work to a test.

Start Date:  August 4-22

Practice Days: Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday

Practice Location/Time:

  • Tuesday 6:00-7:30 pm: Track workout at Alexander Graham Middle School.
  • Thursday 7:00-8:30 am: Run from Cross-Conditioning Midtown location. This run will take place on the greenway and will end with a 10 min strength routine back inside the facility.
  • Saturday 7:00-8:30 am: Long Run at McAlpine Creek Park. This will end with a 10 min core routine.

Practices will be focused on developing endurance, strength, and knowledge about the sport. Athletes will have the option to use one 20 min phone call per week with a coach for guidance on general training questions such as paces, mileage progression, nutrition, running shoes, etc.

There will be a race/time trial opportunity at the end of program.
