2026 Cross Country

COST: $239

Cross Country programs consist of long distance running; 3K at the middle school level.  Runners compete and train on a variety of terrains; trails, road, field and track and sometimes lots of mud!  Training consist of endurance running, speed drills, form drills, core strengthening, stretching, race strategy, nutrition, and mental awareness.

Locations and Practice Times: 

• South Charlotte MS: 3:45- 5:15 pm
  NOTE: If this time is inconvenient, please check our Cross Country Talons program which starts at 5:00, at Charlotte Latin.

Days:

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays 

**For best experience athletes should enter the program being able to run 1-2 miles non-stop. For their races they will run 1.87 miles each time.

Sept 12th- Marvin Ridge Invitational@ Marvin Ridge: Races from 8:00 am- 11:00

Sept 19th- Hare and Hounds@ McAlpine Creek Park: Boys 10:55, Girls 11:15

Sept 26th- PR XC Carnival @ Cuthbertson Middle School

Oct 7th-  County Meet @ McAlpine Creek Park: Boys 5:15, Girls 5:35

Oct 10th- Run Cabarrus Invitational @ Frank Liske Park

Optional Meets: These meets are for advanced athletes looking for more competition and travel race opportunities. These may be on your own or with small groups

Sept 11th- Friday Night Lights @ Ivey Redmon/ Kernersville: Girls 5:00, Boys 5:15

Oct 2nd- Great American XC meet @ Wake Med Soccer Complex, Cary, NC: Girls 4:30, Boys 5:00

Oct 17th- NC Runners MS XC Festival @ Ivey Redmon/ Kernersville: Races from 10:00am-12:00pm
